When Dr. Volnick became president of Florida Atlantic, she also became a member of the Research Park’s governing board and was quickly elected to the chair by her peers and is the first president of Florida Atlantic to accept such a role since 1985.
It is thanks to her leadership that the Park won an excellence in economic development award from the International Economic Development Council in 2023. Her leadership prioritized the emphasis on student internships and success. It is Dr. Volnick’s commitment to regionalism that has us working with all of South Florida’s second stage tech companies.
