A Fresh New Look for the Next 40 Years: the Research Park at Florida Atlantic Unveils New Logo

Building on 40 years of impact, the refreshed logo signals the Research Park’s evolution as it enters its next era. 

Boca Raton, FL – January 13, 2025 – Forty years ago, the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University began, founded with the mission and commitment to foster research, innovation and lead South Florida’s economic development. Over the decades, the Research Park has written many new chapters, supported many new ideas, expanded and evolved, while remaining deeply dedicated to its core purpose, the growth and success of its South Florida community. Now in its 41st year, the Research Park is looking ahead with the unveiling of their new logo, an updated symbol that reflects technology, research, design, and what’s next, created by 2TON. 

The Research Park’s new look is more than just a logo; it is a symbol of transformation that captures the organization’s enthusiasm, energy, and ambition in 2026 and for years to come.

Updated Logo Elements: 

  • New Symbol: The icon subtly includes both the “R” and the “P,” making it a custom, meaningful visual tied directly to the name.
  • Design: The Research Park is keeping its iconic Florida Atlantic red and blue, but refreshed. The design reflects Research Park at Florida Atlantic’s identity as a hub for innovation, technology, and forward-thinking ideas. The lines and dots were inspired by the look of a circuit board, symbolizing technology, connectivity, and complex systems working together.
  • Gradient: The gradient adds a sense of movement and progress, visually representing growth and evolution and science space. 
  • Overall look: The overall look is modern, clean, and dynamic—designed to represent both the strength of the Park today and its continued momentum into the future.

“This logo illustrates the Research Park’s exciting and impactful evolution,” said Andrew Duffell, president. “It signifies this is a place for connections, collaboration, and convergence of technologies as they are commercialized into the South Florida marketplace. We continue to highlight our unique, deep affiliation with Florida Atlantic University and all the opportunities it presents to students and faculty alike.”
